Privacy is part of Noctilux's core promise. This page explains what we do — and do not do — with your data. The short version: we collect nothing.

Data collection

Noctilux collects no user data. You can read every article on this site anonymously. We do not know who you are, where you are from, or what you read. The site functions fully with JavaScript disabled.

There are no accounts, no logins, no contact forms, and no mechanism to submit or store any personal information.

Cookies

We do not set tracking cookies. No session cookies, no user identification cookies, no advertising cookies.

Vercel, our hosting provider, may set minimal infrastructure cookies for performance and reliability purposes. These are not user-tracking cookies and contain no personal data.

Analytics

We run no analytics scripts. No Google Analytics, no Hotjar, no heatmaps, no user behaviour tracking of any kind. We do not know which articles are popular or how long you spent on any page.

We chose not to run analytics because knowing reader behaviour would create an incentive to optimise for engagement rather than accuracy. We would rather write well than write for clicks.

Contact

The only way to contact us is by email. There is no contact form and no submission mechanism that stores data on our servers.
